Since the music to 'Mama Mawu' has not been published I give it in solfeggio below. It's all in brisk quarter notes except for the final 'do^ ti la', which is half notes. 'do^' is C above middle C, etc.
mi ti la ti mi (rest rest rest) mi ti la ti mi (rest rest rest) mi ti la ti do^ ti la ti (rest rest rest rest) [*] mi ti la ti do^ (rest rest rest) [* This whole rest occurs only in the 'DMCA March', not 'Mama Mawu'. You can leave it out when you aren't marching, or when the group has learned the song better.]
[final verse:] mi ti la ti do^ (rest rest rest) mi ti la ti do^ (rest rest rest) mi ti la ti do^ re^ mi^ re^ do^ ti la |
Thanks for publishing these for me. You don't have to make any explicit
copyright claims for me. If I am the only one who ever writes more verses
I'll retain copyright, but if others contribute I'll probably let it go.
